Buying peace

Some times we may have to buy peace literally and not figuratively in this mundane world.

Bananas are my staple food; two of them for my lunch. And that’s all the diet I consume for twenty four hours. I keep a stock of them, say a dozen.

In the recent past, a rat had been attacking bananas in my cottage. All my meticulous plans were in vain before that rodant’s intelligent way of overcoming all the hurdles I put in to ward it off. I started feeling frustrated since I don’t find bananas for my lunch. Sometimes I had to starve. As I was about to feel dejected a thought occurred. Why not buy peace with it. Now I keep a banana on its path of attack. Exactly the minute I switch off the light before hitting the bed in the night, it comes n quietly snatches the piecel and goes away to its hideout. Now it doesn’t attack the whole bunch of banana or any other fruit.

I bought and brought back my mental peace 🙂
